This is a new chapter for Bandele Muse as I continue to explore and expand the storytelling and creativity for the brand. This is even more exciting as we get to collaborate with more like-minded and brilliant people.
For this shoot, we went to Chenku Falls in Dodowa, Ghana. Thankfully, we went on a weekday, so it was not too busy with people. This was my first time at this waterfall. I love how the nature and colors complement the jewelry. Funnily enough, I had a red and white rooster follow me throughout the shoot, becoming my best friend. With the combination of our rooster friend and the nature sounds, we felt like an air-bender movement would fit the look. Luckily, I did not fall off the tree.
"Imagine Beyond" is the first installment in a series we created to expand the Bandele Muse story and experience. What would it look and feel like if we experimented with combining Bandele Muse products with different elements? What could it look like if Bandele Muse were a cinematic experience?
In this scene, we showcase the beauty of stillness. How vibrant a moment can be if you are truly present. When you are open to being still, you get the chance to witness how more alive everything is around you and within you. Even though we were working, this was a beautiful experience for me. A reminder of how small and big I am in this world. A lovely way to reposition perspective.
And that is part of the story behind these jewelry designs. With intricate engraving designs and traditional beads with ancient meanings, each piece tells a story that connects the big things and small things in life.
